Inter: Campioni della Coppa Italia

First trophy down, two to go, and a whole lot more on the horizon. To quote Mourinho “Inter have now made the step up” and indeed they have. Inter is among the really big teams and has proved italian football is among the best in the world. Skeptics can no longer say italian football is below english or spanish football. Inter is back on the big scene, and well deserved it is indeed, and we got Mourinho to thank for it…

However, for the first time, Mourinho is himself implying he might make the move away from the San Siro. Although news reports prior to this week, media have implied he will move. Whilst these have all been empty speculations, they are not so empty any longer, at least not in my opinion. He have, after yesterdays win, won all domestic trophies in every country he have coached in. He have by accomplishing this, reached (what I interpret as) his goal. Although he still want to win the scudetto and Champions League, they are not as important to him any longer. He have yet again proved he is “the special one”, an entity who just cant seem to fail. His success is tangible and why would he want to stay and risk future failures with a team which, thanks to him, is already in the top tier of european football? He has already reached heroic status…Well, we can only speculate. Personally, i believe he’ll move to Santiago Bernabeu in the summer, but yet again, it’s only speculation and hopefully as empty as previous media “announcements”.

Forza Inter per sempre!
